Hi there!
We have been slaving over hot mixing desks and PCs to bring you the latest vQp track - "Feel Like Makin' Love". This is the first non-Queen track we have tackled (although Queen + Paul Rodgers performed it on tour). Once again we have given the song a very different feel from the original Bad Company recording and we hope you like the vibe we have gone for.
In other news, vQp received its first commission. A Queen fan asked us to record a "Queen-style" version of the Wedding March for his daughter's wedding. Si set about recording a multi-layered guitar version and Matthew added some choral vocals. The track was completed in time for the big day and met the high expectations and the project got paid almost as much as all the other tracks we have sold so far! We will put the Wedding March on sale too, but at a higher price than the normal downloads and we are still figuring out the best way to handle this. Until we put the info on www.virtualqueenproject.com let us know if you know someone who is getting married and would like to walk down the aisle to the sounds of vQp!
We have more songs in the pipeline, and one is almost complete, so watch this space.
But now, before you forget, go to www.indiestore.com/virtualqueenproject and buy the new song (and any others you haven't yet bought). Sales of the songs have not been as good as they could be, so please don't just think that this is a cool idea, or that the music is good. Buy the tracks and not only will you be giving some money to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, but you'll be getting some original recordings of some pretty rocking songs. And also, let others know and get them to buy the tracks too!
Thanks ever so much to everyone who has supported the project.
Hope you enjoy the music!
Best wishes from,
Matthew, Si and Mac
